INDUSTRY – 4.0 Awareness Program: No. 50 for Parle Group through QCFI
The 50th program in the series was conducted in virtual platform for Parle Group on 17th July 2021.
The lecture was initiated by Shri D K Srivastava, Director, QCFI for the officials of for Parle Group comprising of various levels of Executives up to Directors. There were 257 participants including some QCFI Members.
Mr. Manoj of QCFI HQ coordinated the program.
Dr. A Sanjeeva Rao, Director QCFI & Former National President, NIQR welcomed the gathering and introduced the speaker, Mr. C. V. Gowri Sankar, National Secretary, NIQR and briefed about the coverage of 12000 minds by the speaker in the last 4 years.
The faculty started the lecture with the challenges and opportunities in various fields faced by Indian Industries today to make the participants comfortable in the main topic.
In the second module, the concept of Industry 4.0 or Smart Manufacturing was briefed and the need for skilling in the tools of industry 4.0 was explained with lot of videos with the thrust on use of AI, ML, IOT, Cloud, Data Analytics and 3D printing in today’s manufacturing and service sectors.
In the third module, the faculty explained how the TQM tools will be affected in the new era and the importance of staying abreast with them.
He concluded with a series of slides showing how India, in spite of being a late starter in Industry 4.0, has caught up in various Global indices, especially in the last few years; the interaction was very high in this session, followed by a lengthy Q&A session.
Shri D K Srivastava in his concluding remarks appreciated the depth of the subject in the lecture and the vast amount of research done by the speaker in using appropriate vides to make the audience understand the topic easily.
Starting on 19th Nov 2016, NIQR has reached a milestone of 50 Programs and has ignited 13032 minds so far on Industry 4.0.
