INDUSTRY – 4.0 Awareness Program: No. 51 at CIPET
The 51st program in the series was conducted in virtual platform for Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Guindy on 15th September 2021 from 10AM to 12Noon.
This is third program for CIPET who were impressed with the coverage in the first two programs conducted in 2018. The audience included 190 students from Plastic technology and Manufacturing Engineering departments and staff.
Mr. Neelakandan, Placement in charge CIPET introduced the faculty, Mr. C. V. Gowri Sankar, National Secretary, NIQR and thanked NIQR for the series of Awareness Program on Industry 4.0 which is the need of the hour for students,
The faculty briefed the students about NIQR and its activities and its Awareness program. The students showed keen interest in the challenges and opportunities facing the country today. They were also very interactive and appreciative of the videos shown to explain the concepts. They showed keen interest about additional skills required for career development like use of AI, IOT, Cloud, Data Analytics and 3D printing in today’s manufacturing sector.
The Principal of the college thanked NIQR for organising an awareness program in tune with the developments in industries.
