Mr. B.C Datta

Mr. B.C. Datta is a B.Com Graduate from Karnataka University. He has also done LLB from Bangalore University. Mr. Datta has more than 35 years of experience in Indian Taxes in various capacities and has 15 years’ experience in Taxation & Corporate Affairs in the automobile industry. He is presently working as Asst. Vice President of Corporate Affairs in Hyundai Motor India.
Mr. Datta has been actively involved in various CSR activities of Hyundai Foundation for the past 10 years. He is part of the core team in proposing and implementing The Nursing Assistant programme in Hyundai, which has helped 100s of young deserving girls to get employment and serve the society.
Mr. Datta through Hyundai and Lions Club has been supporting Blood Donation Camps and helped many medical emergency cases in Chennai to get timely support.
He is a member of SIAM – Association of Automobile Manufacturers in India. He is also elected State Council member of MCCI.
Mr. Datta has published articles on Indirect Taxes in several magazines, newspapers and journals. He has written two books on VAT and GST. His book on Karnataka VAT published in vernacular language is first such effort in the country.
