Two Day Shop Operatives Program at SIMA

Two Day Shop Operatives Program At SIMA NIQR organised a training program at SIMA Training Centre, Irungattukottai on 10th & 24th August 2019. This was the third training program organised by NIQR at the newly inaugurated training facility of SIPCOT Irungattukottai Manufactures Association. This program was conducted for the same batch of participants on two alternate Saturdays. There were totally 20 participants from four organisations. The program covered the following on the first day: Mr. C V Gowri Sankar was the faculty.

• Changing Scene & Working together
• SOP – how to read/ understand
• Gauges/instruments – different types –nomenclature – handling –
• Checklist for starting machine and handing over to next shift –Machine; cleaning – observation for abnormalities– preventive maintenance –check list – M/C surrounding areas
• Safety – Do’s and don’ts – importance of guards – importance of PPE
• How to handle output- NC area

On the second day the following were covered: Mr. S. Murugan was the faculty.

• Kaizen
• TPM
• Leadership

The feedback from the participants was excellent and many wanted NIQR to conduct such well-organized in house-training programs.
