8 Quality For Industry 4.0 – No.8 in Sheraton Grand Pune
For achieving our Chairman’s mission of sensitising 20000 minds this year, it is imperative that we spread our wings pan India and conduct programs in all major industrial belts. We have made a significant move in that direction by conducting our 8th program in Western India at Sheraton Grand Pune Bund Garden Hotel on 19th Feb 2017. It was a grand success with 200 participants.
Kudos to the young and energetic Ashok Leyland team led by our Chairman for working overtime for the last one month in spreading the need for such a program in Pune industrial belt and getting nominations from all leading industry majors and MSMEs in and around Pune.
In the Inaugural Function, Mr. K. Manikandan, Chairman, NIQR Chennai Branch welcomed the Eminent Guests and Participants and set the tone for the day with his impressive speech about the need to sensitise minds in embracing Industry 4.0. Mr. P. K. Aggarwal, National President – NIQR in his presidential address appreciated the enthusiasm shown by all Quality professionals in this aspect.
The Chief Guest, Mr. S. B. Borwankar, Executive Director (Quality), Tata Motors Ltd, emphasised on the commitment to Quality of Top Management by spending valuable time in Gemba. He advised the participants to pull themselves out of their comfort zones and setting stretch goals.
The Special Guest, Mr. Vikram Salunkhe, Managing Director, Accurate Gauging & Instruments Pvt Ltd gave an impressive presentation on Digital Quality for Industry wherein he emphasised Industry 4.0 is all about data analytics and advocated automatic flow of data from shop floor to Quality Professionals.
The Special Guest, Mr. Yogesh Zope, Group CIO, Bharat Forge shared his experiences with German organisations. He explained how connectivity from shop floor to top floor and suppliers to customers help in achieving quality.
The faculties were Mr. P. T. Bharani Perumal, Mr. G. Pandurengan, Dr. V. M. Gunasekaran and Mr. C. V. Gowri Sankar, Ms. Geetha and Mr. S. Rajasekaran.
In the Valedictory Function, Mr. C. V. Gowri Sankar summed up the proceedings and informed the audience that NIQR is firmly on its mission and has so far sensitised 1831 minds. The success of the program in its depth and reach was reflected in the feedback given by 10 participants who overwhelmingly applauded NIQR for its efforts.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Sanjay Arole, DGM, Quality Assurance, Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd., appreciated NIQR for having taken up such an important task in the right time.
