Glimpses of Inaugural Function – 17^th NIQR Global Quality Convention

The 17^thNIQR Global Quality Convention, hosted by Chennai Branch was held on 15^th&16^thSeptember, 2023 at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai. The Inaugural Function was held in a grand manner at 9.00 AM on 15^thSeptember, 2023 at the Convention Centre, CTC.

Mr. P. T. Bharani Perumal, Convention Chairman and Chairman of NIQR Chennai Branch welcomed the delegates and eminent personalities from major Industries and Institutions across the country.

The convention was formally launched by the Chief Guest; Dr. S. Manivannan, Founder and Managing Director, Kauvery Hospital, Chennai with a Curtain Raiser.

Mr. S Murali Shankar, National President, NIQR in his presidential address, referred to the impact this convention will have in enhancing the Quality mindset of the participants.

Dr. S Rajasekaran, Former National President, NIQR spoke about the ‘Spreading Wings’ of NIQR – inauguration of new Branch in Punjab and revamping of Coimbatore Branch. Representatives of these two branches were felicitated.

The Guest of Honour, Dr. D. Sam Dayala Dev, Former Director IISU, ISRO, Trivandrum in his Keynote Address gave glimpses of the stringent quality standards in Aerospace and how they are achieved.

Shri. Sudhir Chikhle, Senior Vice President & Head, Sourcing & Supply Chain, Ashok Leyland inaugurated the Convention and emphasized that the automotive field is the genesis of the Quality Culture in India.

The Chief Guest, Dr. S. Manivannan, Founder and Managing Director, Kauvery Hospital, Chennai in his address drew a roadmap of his journey in the quality field and touched on quality in healthcare today.

The Inaugural Function came to an end with Dr. VSV. Verchezhian, Convention Secretary proposing the Vote of Thanks.

The Chief Guest then inaugurated the exhibition which was broadcasted live to the audience. He spent quality time with each and every one of the forty stalls which was well received by the exhibitors.
