Mr. Eisenhower Swaminathan,Managing Director, Glass Solutions & Strategic Projects at Saint-Gobain Glass India Ltd., chairedthe second session of the Convention on the topic “Absorbing Emerging Technologies”. – he dwelt on the difficulties in absorbing new technologies in different industries; the telecommunication opened up this first and now almost all engineering sectors are able to absorb new technologies quite early.
Mr. R. Abilash Chakravarthy, MD of ACE ROBOTICS; he visualised India emerging as the global Hub for manufacture of Industrial Robots and setting up joint ventures with other countries.
Dr. S. Nagendra BoopathyAssociate Professor and Senior Interventional Cardiologist, Department of Cardiology, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai and Adjunct Faculty, Indian Institute of Technology-Madras, Chennai; he spoke about recent advances that have happened in the field of cardiology and some allied specialties including some historical data.
Dr. Raja Munusamy, Reliance Industries Ltd: spoke about energy conservation and easier and cheaper switch to solar energy – he gave a universal scenario of EVs and the Indian goal of 100% EV in two-wheelers.
