Lecture on “5S & Kaizen”
The NIQR Student Chapter of Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Thandalam, Chennai organised a guest lecture on “5S & Kaizen” by Mr. S. Murugan on 12th February 2018 from 9.30am to 1.00pm.
The program started with the welcome & inaugural address by Dr. S. P. Srinivasan, Professor & HOD – Mechanical Engineering.
The speaker explained in detail 5S & Kaizen giving a lot of practical examples. Case study examples from various industries were shown along with videos insisting the importance of 5S. Kaizen done by Mechanical Department staff was presented as a case study to propagate the need and the effectiveness of the same. The program was well received by all the participants with a lot of interactions.
Totally 66 non-management staff and seven students attended this program.
The entire program was coordinated by Mr. Devanathan, Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department who proposed the vote of thanks.
