Shri LSN Guptha Memorial Lecture
NIQR organised the Annual Lecture Meeting in memory of Shri L S N Guptha on Monday, the 10th Feb 2020 at Hotel Radha Regent Chennai. Mr. M. Sellamuthu – General Manager – HR & Administration, Ashok Leyland Limited, Ennore. The topic was “VUCA”. Mr. B. C. Datta Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Hyundai Motor India Ltd was the Chief Guest.
As pointed out by Mr. S. Rajasekaran, National President, NIQR in his Presidential Address, It was indeed a pleasant sight to see 116 NIQR members and invited Guests to assemble for a lecture in memory of a great visionary; especially on a working day. Special thanks to the family members of Shri LSN Guptha who have in full strength to honour NIQR’s invitation.
It was great to have two of our senior members Dr. A Sanjeeva Rao, Past National President and Mr. Jagannatha Rao, ECM of NIQR Chennai Branch to share some great moments with Gupthaji and his contribution to NIQR in its initial stages.
Mr. R. Sethuraman, Chairman, NIQR Chennai Branch introduced the Chief Guest Mr. B. C. Datta.
Mr. B. C. Datta, a Law Graduate from Bangalore University has more than 40 years of experience in various capacities and has 20 years of experience in automobile industry. Mr. Datta is famous for his articles on Indirect Taxes in several magazines, newspapers and journals. Currently he is Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Hyundai Motor India Ltd
Mr. P. T. Bharani Perumal, Secretary, NIQR Chennai Branch introduced the speaker Mr. M. Sellamuthu.
Mr. M. Sellamuthu is currently General Manager – HR & Administration, Ashok Leyland Limited, Ennore. With over 25 years of comprehensive experience in handling People Management, Process had contributed to his organisation’s strategic goals by providing effective human resources.
Chief Guest Mr. B. C. Datta in his address lauded the efforts of NIQR in many fields including training and lectures to imbibe Quality in Industries and Institutions and called on all guests to become members of NIQR to reap the benefits.
Mr. S. Rajasekaran honoured the Chief Guest with a shawl and memento.
The Speaker, Mr. M. Sellamuthu, took one of the topics needed for this era of disruptions – “VUCA” (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity & Ambiguity) – an interesting and new one to many.

– with some excellent examples was well appreciated by the audience.
The hall mark of his lecture was his humility in coming out with real situations to an understanding and mature audience.
