INDUSTRY – 4.0 Awareness Program: No. 47 at SRM University
The 47th program in the series was conducted at SRM Institute Of Science And Technology, Vadapalani on 24th Feb 2020. Department of Mechanical Engineering organised the program. There were 200 students from all departments.
Mr. Dinakaran, Associate Professor welcomed the gathering and introduced the faculty, Mr. C. V. Gowri Sankar, National Secretary, NIQR and asked the students to make use of the session which is very important for their career.
The faculty briefed the students about NIQR and its activities. He showed the curtain raiser done by two SRM students during the Industry 4.0 National Conference jointly organised with NIQR two years back. The audience responded that they will also organise a conference like this soon.
The students showed keen interest in the challenges and opportunities facing the country today. They were also very interactive and appreciative of the videos shown to explain the concepts. They showed keen interest about additional skills required for career development like use of AI, IOT, Cloud, Data Analytics and 3D printing in today’s manufacturing sector.
