Ninth Annual Competition on SIX SIGMA / Task Achievement Case Study Presentations on 16th December 2023
NIQR HQ organised the ninth Annual Competition on Six Sigma / Task Achievement Case Study Presentation on 16th December 2023 at Hotel Radha Regent, Chennai.
The inaugural function started with lighting of Kuthuvilakku by Dignitaries and some of the Participants.
Dr. V. Swaminathan, National Sr. Vice President, NIQR welcomed the gathering. He detailed the purpose of NIQR organizing 6 sigma case study competitions. He also expressed happiness at the large registration of teams (53), some delegates from various organizations. He also mentioned that based on the performance of teams, awards will be given in three categories namely Platinum, Gold & Silver.
Dr. A. Sanjeeva Rao Chief Jury explained the details of timeline norms to be followed by the teams and other regulations during presentations.
Dr. A. Sanjeeva Rao, Mr. Venugopal, Mr. Sampangiraman, Dr. B. Dayslan, Mr. Somanathan & Mr. Kannan were the juries for the three streams.
In the Valedictory Function, Mr. S. Rajasekaran, past national president gave the welcome address and Dr. V. Swaminathan briefed about the participation details of the competition.
Feedback about the program was shared by four members of teams. All the respondents appreciated the way in which the whole program was organized and were happy to learn various steps of 6 sigma methodologies and application of tools.
The juries appreciated the level of performance of teams in their feedback and Dr. A. Sanjeeva Rao shared about the overall performance of the teams and highlighted that the overall maturity level of teams in systematic application of Six Sigma Methodology, relevant high-level tools and quality of presentations have significantly improved. All the projects had linkage and significant impact on their respective businesses.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Sachin Kumar Goel, Head-Foundry Business Ashok Leyland Limited in his valedictory address complimented NIQR for giving a platform to all organisations to showcase their projects every year. He shared his happiness about the large no. of teams present and hoped all teams would be taking home plenty of new knowledge which they can put into practice in their own organisations.
Awards and Certificates were presented to all teams and delegates by the Chief Guest
Totally 37 Platinum, Gold 15 and 1 Silve Awards were presented to the teams.
Mr. V. Raghavan, National Treasurer proposed the vote of thanks.
