NIQR Student Chapter in Jayalakshmi Institute of Technology, Thoppur, Dharmapuri
NIQR Chennai Branch started yet another Student Chapter in NIQR Student Chapter in Jayalakshmi Institute of Technology, Thoppur, Dharmapuri. Mr. P K Aggarwal, National President NIQR, was the Chief Guest for the inaugural function organised by the Department of Management Studies at the College Auditorium at 11.30 AM on 3rd December 2016.
This is the TENTH active Student Chapter of NIQR under Chennai Branch.
Dr. S. Mohanamurugan, Principal of the College welcomed the gathering which included many dignitaries from NIQR, 100 students and 30 staff members. LN. C. Subramanian, Chairman of the College in his presidential address commended NIQR for the services it was offering through Student Chapters and asked the staff & students to make use of them to increase their knowledge.
Mr. C V Gowri Sankar, Secretary-NIQR Chennai Branch presented the vision, mission and goals of NIQR explained the activities of NIQR in particular to the student community. He spoke about the Industry 4.0 training program launched recently by NIQR and offered to arrange one in the college for the students. He said Mr. N. Anbuchezhian, Executive Council Member – NIQR National Body will be the mentor for the College.
The Chief Guest Mr. P K Aggarwal, National President of NIQR spoke about the needs of the industry today and the future. He advised the students to keep abreast about the technological advancements made in the manufacturing sector and said NIQR is ready to offer all helps in this.
Mr. S. Rajasekaran, National Vice President – NIQR gave a special lecture on “Smart Manufacturing”. He explained the four stages of Industrial Revolution and how the Indian Industry is preparing for the Industry 4.0. He gave a clear picture of the use of Artificial Intelligence and cloud computing in smart manufacturing.
NIQR Individual Membership Certificates were presented to 25 staff & students by the dignitaries.
Dr. P. Mathiyalagan, Organizing Secretary of the Student Chapter proposed the Vote of Thanks.
