01-08-2026 Knowledge Sharing Session Series – NIQR Coimbatore Branch

NIQR Coimbatore Branch successfully launched its Knowledge Sharing Session Series with an engaging programme on “Standard Approach for Preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)”, delivered by Mr. R. Murugan, Director – QMS, ELGI Equipments Ltd. The interactive session brought together professionals from industries across Coimbatore, providing practical insights into developing effective SOPs that strengthen consistency, training effectiveness and audit readiness. The enthusiastic participation and engaging discussions marked a promising beginning to this new knowledge-sharing initiative.

The pursuit of zero defects begins with designing processes that prevent errors rather than correcting them.

The One-Day Workshop on Mistake Proofing (Poka-Yoke), conducted by NIQR on 13 June 2026, equipped professionals with practical techniques to eliminate errors at the source, enhance process reliability, and foster a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Effective decisions are built on facts, structured thinking, and the right analytical tools. The One-Day Workshop on New Seven Quality Control Tools, conducted on 23 May 2026 at NIQR Headquarters, brought together 25 participants from 8 organizations to strengthen their problem-solving, planning, and decision-making capabilities through advanced quality management techniques and practical applications.

Excellence is not a destination—it is a journey shaped by quality, discipline, and continuous improvement.

The NIQR session on “Path to Excellence”, held on 11 April 2026, attracted 75 online participants and 6 in-person attendees, inspiring professionals and students to embrace the mindset, habits, and practices that transform ordinary performance into lasting excellence.

18 - 07 - 2026 -AI-Driven Engineering for Manufacturing and Quality

NIQR Chennai Branch successfully conducted a one-day workshop on AI-Driven Engineering for Manufacturing and Quality on 18 July 2026 at the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII), Chennai. The practical and interactive programme equipped participants with valuable insights into the application of Artificial Intelligence in manufacturing, quality engineering and operational excellence. Through real-world use cases and hands-on discussions, the workshop demonstrated how AI can enhance productivity, improve quality and support data-driven decision-making. NIQR Chennai Branch successfully conducted a one-day 5S Internal Auditor Training Programme on 11 July 2026 at the SIPCOT Office Training Hall, Pillaippakkam. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. K. Sathianarayanan, Chairman, NIQR Chennai Branch, and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 22 executives from diverse industries. The training sessions, led by Mr. R. Mohana Krishnan and Mr. S. Murugan, provided participants with practical knowledge and auditing skills essential for sustaining workplace excellence through the 5S methodology. The National Institution for Quality & Reliability (NIQR) successfully conducted the Daily Work Management (DWM) Training Programme, with 21 professionals from more than nine organisations participating in the programme. Designed to strengthen operational excellence, the programme equipped participants with practical methodologies for establishing effective daily management systems, improving visual management, enhancing process discipline and driving a culture of continuous improvement. The programme witnessed active participation and meaningful knowledge exchange, reaffirming NIQR’s commitment to building organisational capability and advancing excellence across industry.

Operational excellence begins on the shop floor, where quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement come together to create value. The two-day Shop Operatives Programme (SOP), conducted on 17–18 April 2026 at NIQR Headquarters, brought together 12 participants from 5 organizations, strengthening their understanding of quality systems, TPM, 5S, Lean Six Sigma, and the principles that drive world-class manufacturing performance.

Sustainable growth is not achieved by chance—it is built on strong foundations, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement. The Workshop on “4 Pillars for Sustainable Growth”, conducted by NIQR Trichy Branch on 11 April 2026, brought together 36 participants from 14 organizations to explore the essential practices that drive organizational excellence, resilience, and long-term business success.

Sustainable workplace excellence does not happen by inspection—it is sustained through disciplined systems and capable auditors. The 5S–WPM Internal Auditor Training brought together 16 participants from 7 organizations and 4 individual NIQR members, strengthening their ability to assess, sustain, and continuously improve workplace management practices for long-term organizational excellence.
World-class quality is built on the strength of a skilled and empowered workforce. The two-day Shop Operatives Programme (SOP-254) brought together 27 participants from 9 organizations, equipping them with practical insights into quality, TPM, 5S, Lean Six Sigma, teamwork, and continuous improvement—the foundations of operational excellence.
